I love the simplicity and elegance of this obra.
The photography is nice again, but I think it was airbrushed too much, especially on the skin. it look unnatural. :| The Doña them suits well though.
just like your first entry. you give an amazing suggestive concept. not like "the dona in your face" style.
I agree with most people here, she looks like the modern dona. great pose and brilliant facial expression!
clearly an adv. must catch attention, and I give this a check on that aspect. As for the text it says "discover you". the model is a modern dona as you can see and it reflects the image of the model. as the whole photo setting is in an old Philippine style, plays as an accessory to her personality. a lot of you agree on this being a good photo you must as well know that a photo is not judged only by its appearance but even with its composition, the way the model sits reflects strength and power as a true donya, she isnt dress in maria clara but the way her legs positioned speaks out her finess, the serious look on her face talks for who she is.
looks like the campaign for another clothing brand. this wont be good for strengthening the brand of Solo.

based on some of my experiences. An effective advertisement shouldn't just be pleasing on the viewer's eyes, but most importantly it must carry a great identity and a strong concept. and so what this entry lacks is a successful concept though it has nice photograph.
Very simple more of a photo only with a logo.

I agree with the others, this is certainly a good photo.. but JUST A PHOTO. If there were more elements that was used it could have won.
I'm just wondering, what is "creativity" to you guys? Are the verctor stuffs creative to you already? It doesn't matter if you just placed the logo and the tag in the entire frame, what matters here is the concept. If the photographer/ graphic artist added the elements that you're looking for, it would make the entire composition look confusing. Less is more and this defies class. The concept for this "poster making contest" is old manila right? Aren't the elements like the chair, the table, frame, etc. elements to you? I think what the photographer is trying say in this image is that it is dona-ish in a modern way. I personally think this could be used as an actual campaign already.
I like the concept and also the execution. that' s all.
Looks good but you just pasted the Logo and text on a photo and that's it! you did not used some poster designs and not much of creativity. just an opinion sorry.
i actually like the execution. But this seems like a plain portrait / fashion photography and not really a poster. it would have been much better if you've inserted additional elements..
what can i say? the photography and model is good. i get the concept, and i would have liked it had it been executed properly. i don't see a "doña" here. all i can see is a pretty girl sitting in a chair. it could have been powerful.
anyway, this poster looks like the real thing already. very niccolo cosme. but i think i've seen this concept before in another brand's campaign.
bottomline is, this is a "poster-making" competition and not a photography contest. if it was, this entry wins hands-down.
