Register to join

To Join:

  • Male or Female, at least 18 years old
  • Residing in the Philippines
  • Contestant can be an individual or a team which consist of a model and a graphic artist/stylist
  • Individual entries can be both graphic artist/stylist and model, and if chosen will receive both prizes for winning model and winning graphic artist/stylist
  • Have a remarkable/unique Solo Personality
  • Doesn’t have a modeling/endorsement contract with a clothing line or competing label
  • Images should be:
    • 450 x  573 pixels, RGB format
    • At least 72 DPI Resolution
    • JPEG File
  • Entries must be submitted between September 1 to November 30, 2009 December 15, 2009

 

Complete Rules and Regulations

  • Photo Set Up
    • Buy any Old Manila item from Solo. One Item per Entry
    • Complete the Registration Form on www.solo.com.ph/postermaking
    • Wear one Old Manila item in your photo entry. View the old manila collection here.
    • You may mix other pieces of clothing, but with no apparent/visible/noticeable branding
    • Encouraged to accessorize
    • Innovation/Alteration is allowed but the majority of the print should stay intact.
    • Props to show personality is allowed
  • Designing
    • Images should be:
      • 450 x  573 pixels
      • At least 72 DPI Resolution
      • JPEG File
    • One or several of the supplied design element must be part of your submission
    • Must be in tune with the Solo's theme of Vintage look and feel
    • Embed the Solo logo and  “Discover You.” slogan in your poster entry
  • Voting
    • Anyone who registers onto the contest may vote
    • Criteria
      • Voter’s Choice- 40%
      • Solo’s Choice
        • Photogenic- 10%
        • Creativity- 20%
        • Styling- 20%
        • Layout- 10%
  • Choosing Winners
    • Winning poster shall be used for a possible  professional photoshoot with their entries as pegs for final outwork
    • Winning submission will be featured in Solo in store wall photos nationwide and on the Solo website.  Winning photos may also be used in other marketing materials.
    • Winners will be Best Male and Best Female poster.
    •  Winners will include:
      • Model for Winning Male Poster
      • Graphic Designer for Winning Male Poster
      • Model for Winning Female Poster
      • Graphic Designer for Winning Female Poster
    •  All winners will receive PhP 8,000 in cash, Php 8,000 in Solo Gift Certificates, a photoshoot and feature spread in the Supreme section of Philippine Star and a Casio G-Shock from Time Depot each.
    • Entries not complying with the contest rules are subject to disqualification without prior warning.
